Railroad View:  Excellent, any room on the back side of the hotel will offer an excellent view of the (CN) DM&IR mainline.  This is not a very active line.  About 5 train's past during my 15-hour stay (a couple of those were light power moves).  Trains pass slowly (maybe 15 mph) past the motel, loaded rock trains really "work" upgrade past the motel, it will wake you up!

Railroad past Hotel:  Canadian National (former DM&IR RR mainline)

Notes:  DM&IR (CN) Proctor Shops are nearby, though no public access for pictures near the shop area.  Also, in a town park near the Proctor shop / yard is a old DM&IR Yellowstone steam locomotive displayed with a caboose.  Plenty of "touristy" thing's to do in the area.  Don't miss the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth.

Comments: A former Country Inn & Suites hotel.

Picture Comments: Several years ago this westbound DM&IR rock train was seen from the third floor window of the Best Western.  Today, most of the locomotives on this route are CN painted.
