Railroad View: Excellent View! Located across from SEPTA's Norristown Line. Trains blow's horn for the crossings, but just a couple short toot's. Most trains pass from 5:30am to midnight. Rooms on the front of the building are preferred for a railroad view, but rooms on the east or west sides will be OK as well.
Railroads past Hotel: SEPTA (commuter railroad) Norristown Line / Conrail Shared Assets (Local freight only, runs when needed).
Notes: For adventures, 5-10 minute walk will put you on the Norfolk Southern line across the river, railroad photography is great in this area. The NS line hosts about 15 trains during a 24-hour period. The Marriott hotel in West Conshohocken is an alternative, its located on the NS Line, and you can also see the SEPTA trains across the river.
Photo Comment: How's that for a view! All that you need is a better mix of train's. 99% of passing train's are electric MU SEPTA commuter train's. Most trains are just 2-cars. The top photo is taken from a bike / walking path along the railroad.
Walking distance to SEPTA's CONSHOHOCKEN Station.
