Peace on earth in Lilly, Pennsylvania.

A view from the front porch, helper set coasts past.

Looking west down the tracks from Railroad Street, Pennsylvania Rail Road signal bridge 254 is seen protecting the mainline as a slow eastbound heads to Altoona.

Snow is common in the Alleghenies during the winter months.  This photo taken from in front of the house shows a westbound empty hopper train.

Amtrak's Pennsylvanian passes twice a day, eastbound mid-morning, and westbound early evening.  This train does see heritage locomotives and private cars on the rear time to time.  This photo was taken from in front of the house.

Expect any kind of train at anytime!  Steam engine # 765 passes the house as it heads west to Indiana.

Any type of locomotive from any railroad could appear through Lilly.  BNSF & Union Pacific locomotives can be seen daily from the house.

A photo taken from the front door shows the porch which was built using recycled materials, the deck consists of plastic lumber which is maintenance free and should last, well... much, much longer then any wood deck.

A eastbound train coasts past with an intermodal train.  The clear view was photographed from the front porch.

For some reason, Amtrak's Pennsylvanian hosts private cars much more than some would expect.  Here two Pennsylvania RR private cars bring up the rear of Amtrak train # 43, seen passing the house on time with its early evening schedule.

A photo of the rear of the house shows the back deck, great place to have a barbecue.   The kitchen has a sky light as well as one of the bathrooms, which makes for a nice sunny indoor experience.

The two and a half car garage is another fine addition to the property.
