Railroad View:   Good Distant View.  Any room on a high floor on the rear of the building will give you a railroad view.  A good zoom lens will work best for photos.  Trains can be seen at night, but there is not enough light to video them.

Railroads past Hotel:  CSX Transportation.  There is a small yard behind the hotel, the road trains seem to stop here to change crews or swap out cars or engines.

Railroad Radio Frequencies: 160.590 (CSX yard crews) / 161.520 CSX AC Dispatcher

Notes:    You can hear trains blow their horn in the distance both east & west of the hotel, this should give you warning of an approaching train.  Windows do not open, trains are not loud as they pass the hotel but you may hear the engines rumble.

Photo Comments:  The floor plan shows the even number rooms are needed for a railroad view.

Right:  View from room # 530 looks south at the railroad.  Some cars parked in the small yard can be seen from the room.

Bottom Photo:  CSX engine # 940 faces east as it trails on a westbound freight.  This photo was taken with a zoom lens at 250mm.  This is about the best shot you can get from the hotel.  During my 1 night visit; all 6 trains that I saw passed through the yard proceeded around 10 mph.  It was rather easy to photograph them as they passed.
