About Hotel: 2-Floors, 5-Rooms, Interior Corridors. The Inn was built in 1857 for the L&N Railroad. Each room is comfortably decorated and includes a private bath and access to Porch and/or Balconies with views of the Kentucky countryside. Breakfast served each day.
Railroad View: Expect a excellent view. The Inn is located next to the tracks (about 80' away), some trees may interfere with a perfect view, but shouldn't take away from the enjoyment of watching the passing trains. The east end of a passing siding is located next to the Inn, along with eastbound signals. Three of the 5-rooms face the railroad directly, the other two also have a view on an angle.
Railroads past Hotel: CSX Transportation. Expect around 10-15 trains per day on this line.
Notes: The old Rocky Hill train station has been saved by the town, and moved several hundred feet north of its original location. Rocky Hill is located east of Bowling Green, KY a short distance from I-65. Bowling Green has a small railroad museum which is also a nice place to watch train. The home of the Chevrolet Corvette is also in Bowling Green complete with a museum and auto plant tours.
