About Hotel: 2-Stories, 46-Rooms, Exterior Corridors, private tile shower and bath, mini refrigerators, telephones, expanded 42 channel color cable TV and balconies. In addition, we're proud to offer a very large swimming pool (22' x 44') with a children's wading area, a new children's playground with patios equipped with Barb-B-Que grills and picnic tables, free room ice, daily maid service, discounts to area attractions and plentiful on-site parking.

Railroad View:  Excellent.  Any room on the east or south sides will have a clear view of the railroad.  2nd floor room will have better view in case of auto's parked in the parking lot, and a chain link fence along the railroad tracks. 

Railroads past Hotel:  Amtrak / Pan Am Railways.  The single track line only sees 10 Amtrak trains plus about 6 freight during a 24-hour period.

Photo Comments:  Aerial view shows the motel located on the north side of the tracks.  Right Photo: Railroad tracks run along 1st Street, separated by a chain link fence.  There are 12-Rooms that face the tracks directly; those are the choice rooms to have, followed by 2nd floor rooms on the east side.  The Amtrak station (OOB) is a short walk down the street.

Location/ Directions: Driving Directions from the South: Take Interstate 95 (Maine Turnpike) to Exit 36 (Saco Exit). Follow I-95 to Route 5 (Saco Ave.). Bear left in front of the 7-11 Store . Continue on Rt. 5 until you see the sign to downtown (bank, church, and Town Hall area). Take a right immediately after the church. You are on Main St. in Old Orchard Beach heading for the beach and Pier. Go down the hill towards the ocean, go over the Railroad tracks. Take a left onto E. Grand Ave. and continue approximately 1/4 miles. Biarritz Motel Main Office is on your left. Note Please: If arriving from the south, you will pass the Biarritz Apartments and Biarritz Suites buildings prior to the motel. Please DO NOT stop here. Continue to The Biarritz Motel Office on your left, on the corner of East Grand Ave and Walnut Street.

Railroad View:  Excellent.  Motel owns several building on three sites.  Two of these sites are along the railroad.  Click here for motel layout.  2nd floor rooms will have a better view, though 1st floor rooms are ok as well.

Photo Comments:  Yellow circle locates the main motel building.  Note the motel is located next to a grade crossing, and is located right next to the tracks.  All Amtrak trains to/from Portland, ME use this track.  This is also Pan Am Railways mainline.  This is the busiest rail line in the state of Maine...just don't compare the train traffic to other single track rail lines in the country.  Maine isn't part of the industrial belt!

Location/ Directions: Take I-95 to Exit 36, The Saco/Old Orchard Beach Exit.  After the toll booth, continue straight on I-195 (approx.1 1/2 mi.) flows into Rt. 5.  Follow Rt 5 South (heading in an easterly direction), bear left at 7-11 Store.  Continue straight until you reach a stop sign at St. Margarets Church.  Turn right onto 'Old Orchard Street'. Continue down the hill towards the Pier & Amusement Park. Cross the railroad tracks at bottom of hill & turn left onto East Grand Ave. Motel is 1/4 mile on the left side & our office is poolside, facing the Pool/Greenhouse.

About Hotel: 2-Stories, 60-Rooms, Exterior Corridors, Free Wireless Internet Access, Out-Back BBQ, with gas grills and picnic tables, heated outdoor pool, Hot Tub & Sauna, Guest laundry, Parking for one car only, Limited maid service, Security deposit required, cancellation fee, No Pets, No Smoking in rooms.  Microwave & mini-frig, A/C, Color Cable TV, free WI FI, Bathtub.  TAKE THE TRAIN!  If you are arriving by train, call ahead to arrange pick-up at the OOB Station.

Railroad View:  Excellent.  This motel has 3 buildings.  You must have rooms in buildings located at 48 East Grand Ave. or 54 East Grand Ave. that back the railroad in order to have a railroad view.  Only 2nd floor rooms will have a view due to evergreen trees planted along the railroad (see photo below).There is a grade crossing east of the motel sites that can give you heads up when train are approaching.
