Railroad View:  Good - Fair.  Clear but distant view, a zoom lens would work best for pictures.  Ask for a high floor on the north side, as you need to look over and past the I-90 Interstate.

Railroads past Hotel:  CSX / CP / Amtrak.  Most of the trains on this segment of this line are Amtrak passenger trains.  Freight trains consist of CSX locals and CP freights to / from Albany, many of which now operate with Norfolk Southern locomotives.

Notes:  This hotel was a former Quality Inn, later Clarian Hotel, now a Ramada.

Comments:  I stayed here on business during the Quality Inn brand era.  I didn't have much time to look for passing trains, though I did see a couple Amtrak's and a eastbound CP freight with a couple SD40-2's powering it.  I didn't have a camera with me during that trip.

Picture Comments:  The Ramada Inn is the building to the far left; the railroad is seen across I-90, on the right.  High floors on the north side of the hotel provide a view of the railroad.  It’s not a very busy rail line, likely there are about 15-20 trains daily past here (during 24-hour period).
