Railroads past Hotel: East Penn Railroad (ESPN) - The track behind the hotel is the York Industrial Track.  Its a branch line that runs from an interchange with Norfolk Southern Railway in York, PA east to Stony Brook, PA (just east of hotel).  I believe the ESPN parks a locomotive on a spur behind the hotel.

Photo Comment: An East Penn Railroad high nose GP-9 # 1701. The locomotive still wears the colors of the defunct Quaboag Transfer, a short-lived, specialized intermodal operation on the Central Vermont.  The Courtyard Hotel can be seen in the distance to the right.  Rooms on the rear of the building will be best for viewing the railroad, The front of the hotel is seen in this photo.  This picture looks west down Concord Road in York.
