Photo Comment:  The aerial picture shows the Sleep Inn motel to the right side of the photo.  The railroad can be seen across the top of the photo.  This is the former Southern Railway mainline, used by an average of 20 daily freights and two Amtrak train's (# 19 + # 20), both of which stop in town.

Railroad View:  Good View.  Ask for a high floor room overlooking the pool, these rooms face the railroad tracks.  Otherwise, a room on the west side may have a fair view.

Railroads past Hotel:  Norfolk Southern (expect 20 trains daily) and Amtrak (#19 + # 20 daily).

Photo Comment:  The Bing Maps Aerial view shows the Comfort Inn motel labeled with the Comfort Inn logo.  The single track railroad can be seen across from the swimming pool.  The view of the railroad will depend on the vegetation along the railroad.

Location/ Directions:  From I-85: Take exit 19-B which will put you on hwy 76 going the correct direction. Stay straight on HWY 76 for 11 miles. Road will end at Hwy 123 intersection. Take a LEFT onto Hwy 123 also called Tiger BLVD. Go 1 mile and the Hotel is on the right hand side.

Railroad View:  Excellent View!  Any room on the west side of the building should give you an excellent railroad view.  Higher floor rooms will keep you above the parking lot.  I imagine the railroad end of the building (rear / west side) would offer the best location to view passing trains.

Photo Comment: Hampton Inn is circled in yellow.  The railroad just behind it.  We rate the view as excellent.  It will likely get down-rated once those evergreens between the condo property and the railroad get taller. But for now (2011), its still a wide open view.
